About the Artist

Andrew Rayner is a contemporary fine art Photographer and mixed-media artist whose work bridges the gap between meticulous, data-driven structure and raw, spontaneous discovery. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and having spent three decades immersed in the rugged landscapes of Idaho before returning to the Atlantic coast, Andy's creative vision is deeply informed by regional geography, technical discipline, and maritime ecosystems.  With a professional background spanning graphic design, custom tattooing, and a lifelong technical engagement with complex mediums, Andy approaches a canvas or a camera lens with an eye for absolute alignment and mechanical precision. His Fine Art Photography leverages sharp architectural perspectives and atmospheric regional landscapes, while his Mixed-Media Originals introduce a gritty industrial spontaneity - utilizing found commercial packaging as a tactile substrate for complex, layered commentary on technical specifications and biological data. Operating out of his studio on Virginia's Northern Neck, Mr. Rayner maintains a disciplined, self-taught, practice focused on museum-grade presentation.
